“Your health is our obsession”
The phenomenal MATRIX has launched and many members have experienced a session or multiple sessions at this point. An observation so far is that the most compatible (perhaps productive) thing to do for those two hours is . . . nothing. Will it have benefit even if you are busily engaged with a quiet task? Pretty sure it will. And yet, it seems that simply doing deep nothing is very rewarding. Deep nothing could be your form of meditation, your form of napping, setting intentions or even going in with the “big” questions. It’s up to you!
Peptides
Of all the oral agents (supplements) we offer at DB, I believe the Peptide BioRegulators to have the most dramatic potential for affecting a condition. And we have good news — with a new supplier onboard we are able to lower the price somewhat, as well as get shipments faster. Yay!
I caution with the peptides, please do not dabble to “see if they work”. Do your research and when you decide on a course of them, do it right and follow through, or don’t do it at all. With 40 years of testing and research backing them, they are quite stunning in the way they work at the DNA signaling level, to repair tissue and therefore function. Our intention is to keep stocked on the peptides that address the most common health issues – immune and auto-immune, cardio-vascular, hormonal, sleep, cognitive function, bone and cartilage, and of course vision deterioration from all causes.
Collagen
Sheila has been imploring many of you to increase your collagen intake. She finally put her money where her mouth is and after testing 4 or 5 different (always grass-finished) brands, she has found one that meets her standards. And it is on the shelf ready for sale. Collagen is one of those basic substances that benefits our health in so many ways. You can get a decent amount from bone broths and meats on the bone. But it’s not easy to get sufficient amounts from food to stimulate repair of injured or worn-down tissues. Protein, considered the building blocks of the metabolism, is the second most plentiful substance in the body (after water). It is needed for the growth and repair of every cell in the body. Up to 40% of the body is made up of connective tissue with 70% of the connective tissue being collagen.
Collagen is the protein that forms connective fibers in tissues such as skin, ligaments, cartilage and bones. It acts as a kind of intracellular glue that gives support, shape and bulk to blood vessels, bones, and organs including the heart, kidneys and liver. Collagen is also required for the repair of blood vessels, bruises and broken bones. Collagen is heliotropic – meaning it finds its way to the areas where it’s most needed.
After the age of 25 the body’s natural ability to produce amino acids diminishes, and supplementing the diet with collagen protein becomes urgent.
The collagen we have vetted and decided to offer our members, is unique in its amino acid profile It contains high amounts of glycine, proline and hydroxyproline, key amino acids. Other protein food supplements do not reach these levels.
Both cartilage and bone in joints are subject to continual physical stress, so they are continuously being broken down and with sufficient collagen supply, replaced. Cartilage that covers the surface of joints is composed of cells called chondrocytes. These cells are embedded in an extracellular matrix containing collagen fibers and hyaluronic acid. A diet devoid of ample protein to combat the collagen breakdown can result in painful or damaged joints.
Hydrolyzed collagen may be an effective supportive nutrient for individuals with osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, and its level of safety makes it attractive as an agent for long term use in these chronic disorders.
Collagen Hydrolysate – 1 lb. can 38 servings 24.99.
Mark Sisson
World class athlete, coach, and author, names foods to eliminate when designing a radically healthy lifestyle. If you can go cold turkey, great! If a lifetime of eating these metabolically damaging foods has become an entrenched habit, you may be more successful by eliminating them over a couple of months. What are the big three most harmful “foods” to eliminate from your diet? 1. Seed oils (PUFA’s – polyunsaturated fatty acids) – like, sunflower, canola, soy, fake butters, salad oils, vegetable shortenings. 2. Sugar – no elaboration needed here. 3. grains – cereal, corn, pasta, rice, bread and wheat. Wheat is the big one, and for me, the hardest to forego – I love a good sourdough bread! Oh well. These foods are the most common causes of systemic inflammation and auto-immune syndromes, including allergies and asthma. My ignorance of the detrimental effects of these “foods” cost me a lot. Recovering health is far more arduous than maintaining good health. The cost to your health may have been high as well. I would add to Mark’s “no-no” list the following: processed foods of all sorts, low and no fat fractionated foods, high carb meals and meals deficient in proteins. Read more in Mark’s latest book, Keto for Life.
At DB, we maintain that the optimum diet is high fat (mostly saturated), medium protein (1/2 to 1 gr. per pound of body weight), and low low carbohydrate.
All kinds of movement contribute to keeping us strong and able. But what characterizes exercise that is profoundly and efficiently beneficial?
•High intensity (working as hard as you can briefly),
•High resistance (high weight or challenging isometric resistance),
•low repetition – 1-3 reps at maximum weight
•long recovery time. (3-5 days variable).
That is the secret formula for keeping and building muscle, bone, and cartilage — the structure that underlies our ability to move.
Curadrem is here! A remarkable cure for non-melanoma skin cancers in the form of a topical skin cream. Takes time (up to 12 weeks) but can replace a lot of “procedures”. $159.99 – a tube will last a l-o-n-g time.
A very interesting read is I Decided to Live 120 Years by Ilchi Lee. The ancient secret to longevity, vitality and life transformation by Ilchi Lee is an informative read that will inspire you to think outside the box and focus on the “what ifs”. The strategies in this book are sure to get you thinking, planning and re-examining your life. Here’s one healthy tip from his book – keep your feet warm and your head cool.
Did you know that the current retirement age was created in Germany in 1865 when the average life span was 60 years old? Hmmm…that fact changes perspective on retirement and aging!
Corona Virus
The latest coronavirus has set the world into a tailspin. The very best way to combat and or prevent vulnerability to “whatever is going around” is to bolster your immune system. Much of what we offer here at dancingbones can help you do that. Fundamentals first — get rid of offending “foods”, bring candida into balance, get your VIT D3 levels to a thriving (not just surviving!!) level, address the robustness of your Pineal and Thymus glands, add an active curcumin to your supplement regimen, get 7-8 hours of real quality sleep, increase your microcirculation and finally bring your whole body into a higher millivolt range.
We will keep reminding you to know your Vit D3 levels. It’s beyond critical. It’s really hard to get sick if you have good levels of Vit D3. WHAT IS YOUR LEVEL? We like our levels to be in the 60-100 ng/ml range.
